    I read the thread on removing the air bag and noted to turn off the power with the switch under the hood. Is there anything else needed to be done to secure the airbag before I remove it so it does not deploy???

    No. Turn off battery switch (don't turn on again until after installation).

    Remove vents to access bolts. Un bolt and slide out.

    Very simple - takes 10 minutes.

    I seem to recall a recommendation to leave the battery off for (10min?) before disconnecting air bag.

    I had been told to be careful with the bag...I have removed them from other cars without any issues but just wanted to be certain I was not missing something...
