Removing 355 shift gate for cleaning

    I'm working on a 355 right now and I want to remove the shift gate so that I can clean inside. Has anyone done this? Is it as easy as removing the 4 screws and lifting up the grate? I'm not much of a wrench so I want to be absolutely sure about this before I go ahead with it. Thanks in advance for any advice.

    the 348 gate comes right off when you unscrew the two screws on the gate

    Yes, it is that easy. It pops right out. Mine collects a lot of dirt down there so I take it out and clean underneath
