Stop everything and go to Dino Restoration | Restoring a Ferrari Dino to see lots of photos of an engine going in and out. The cross bar must come out and it is not supposed to be welded. It is bolted in with large bolts that can be accessed from the wheel wells on either side.

I can help if you give me a call at the shop tomorrow. We have removed Dino engines somewhere between 25 and 50 times. There is a correct angle the engine lifts out best at. Also the bar the coolant tank bolts to does need to be removed. Normally there are two bolts that thread into the end of it that you remove. Call tomorrow and we can discuss it

Tthe welding you see at either end, is the result of threaded inserts being welded to the bar. This allows the bar to receive bolts at both ends. It is not welded to the chassis. Keep reading the threads on restoration, all the information is there.

We were able to get the engine out with a tilt hoist and not removing the round crossbar.
Having the rear glass out and two good friends really helped.

Note: The two 19mm end bolts of the round crossbar are drilled and safety wire tied on mine.
