This issue involves putting 360 Modena wheels on a Testarossa. The wheels will bolt up fine, but the rear offset of the 360 wheels is 20mm less than the TR...so the wheels stick out a bit. If the offset was perhaps 5mm to 10mm more it would be a perfect fit. Is it feasable from a design & safety viewpoint....to machine off maybe 7-8mm from the back side of the wheel where it contacts the hub? Looking at the wheel visually it appears to have plenty of material in this area, with no webbing or radius or any other structural feature in the way. Just asking....thanks gang....

Jump on the 348/355 forum as there is a thread running regards 360 wheels on a 348, a few of the guys there have shaveddown the hubs so the rear wheels sit right in the arches.

I don't recall the details of said wheels, but I've had some other wheels slimmed down a little at Weldcraft in Plymouth, MI. http://www.weldcraftwheels.com/

It's good to see that other people are doing things with these specific wheels, it's certainly a case-by-case basis!

Jeff, many have done it without ANY issues in the 348/355 section. 360 wheels look GREAT on the Mondial, 308 and 348. I have never seen them on a Testarossa. :):)

I have a friend here that just recently machined off 10mm from each wheel fit wide some different wheels on his Nissan Silvia. No issues either. :):)

I would feel comfortable having them machined and I would feel completely safe driving on them afterwards. Hell, everytime I visit a friend on the Gold Coast, he lets me drive his beautiful 348 Spider with machined 360 wheels on the rear of it. :D:D
