Removing Paint From Carpeting

Does anyone know a good way to remove latex wall paint from carpeting? I recently painted some walls, and as Murphy's Law would have it, some paint managed to dodge my dropcloth and land smack on the carpeting. Smart as I am, I wiped off as much as I could while it was fresh, but it still stained pretty bad. So any help on removing wall paint from carpeting? I tried using Resolve and a few other carpet cleaners, to no luck. It's not THAT big of a deal, because in the coming weeks we are removing all the carpeting to nail in some hardwood flooring. My dad has recently gotten big on restoring (or simply changing) the look of the house with new paint, new flooring, new interior decor and such. I'll try and get some pics of our house up for you guys, but for now, any tips on getting the paint out?

Let it be if you are gonna redo the hardwood. The carpet will have to come off anyway

 

theres stuff called goof off which you can buy at home depot, works well !!!

Don't use GoofOff on carpets! It MAY melt the carpet. Not all carpets are the same fiber composure. (acrylic, olefin, polyester)

Use a citrus based cleaner for assorted paints, then lightly rinse out the cleaner with water.

Ordinary rubbing alcohol is good too because it dries cleanly and will not hurt any carpet fibers.

And now I will answer this thread seriously, and yet john lamour will give a perverted answer.
There is this stuff called goo gone. You can use it on clothes, anything with stains. I got paint on some pants of mine (insert john's joke), and I put some of that stuff on and put it in the washing machine and it cleaned it out. So for the carpet, you are gonna have to use a carpet cleaner after you put the stuff on.
