Removing Rear Emblem to clean?

Its pretty caked with wax, easy to pull, polish, and put? or leave alone?

Usually that have to studs that attach with nuts from the back. Probably need to remove some inner trunk linings to get to them.

A very soft tooth brush and cotton swabs may allow for cleaning in place.

PS - is that a Lambo project in the back ?

 

yep, the Lambo is only a kit, but custom tube chassis we are shoe horning in a rover 3.9 Aluminum twin turbo with Porsche axle... should be fun...

Horsehair/boarshair brushes will do an exceptional job without having to dismantle the interior carpets and break and/or replace the little clips and introduce rattles and crappy refitting issues.

The bigger benefit to removal is polishing the paint and removing the scratches I see in the photo. Not the easiest to do with the horse in place.

 

Pull the nuts on the posts. Polish the entire panel. Polish the Horsey and replace. Or get in there with a microfiber cloth and paste. Use your fingernails to get 95% perfection.

 

I also use a detail or tooth brush, on top of a micro fiber towel, or wrap one layer of MF around the brush.
