Does anyone have photos of removing the rear lid "FERRARI" marker on a 360?

My local shop got me a couple of those plastic clips, but I can't seem to figure out exactly how they work and don't want to try until I have figured it out.

Also, once the clips are removed, is the marker on with glue or will it just come off???

I want to polish/wax rear lid with marker off...

    thank you

I asked about doing this myself quite sometime back. It looks like a real PIA job, so I left it intact and polished around it with a detailing brush.

Two cheap-ass, hollowed-out nuts on the back, under the hood. Remove them gently, then carefully take off the Ferrari logo. I brought mine in the house and polished it up, then polished the area under it. Easy as pie.

If I post, it'll be in the Silver forum...join today.

But if I remember correctly, isn't getting to the two nuts a PIA? And don't drop one of them into the engine bay!

    (1) Mine has plastic clips, not "bolts"
    (2) I never knew obtaining advice from fellow enthusiasts was dependent on subscribing. I've learned much more than how to remove silly little bolts on this site, all at no charge. Making it a requirement kinda defeats the purpose of the community and truthfully puts undue pressure on non subscribers, don't you think?

The request may actually backfire and turn people off against subscribing.

BA: A better way to position it would have been "Hey, I grabbed this from the silver forum and am posting it here for you as a courtesy, there is this and much more in the silver, you should consider subscribing."

    1. they're metal hollowed nuts
    2. no pressure, do what you like

A better question; why don't you want to join?

You have a Ferrari, you benefit from the forum, you use it (200 posts!).

Why not join, the forum would benefit from your membership?

    Have fun.

OK, I just paid for 5 yr subscription to F-Chat. And I don't even own a Ferrari yet. Hopefully, I will have my 360 this coming week. Just waiting for the seller to get the title papers. A few bucks to help the system is miniscule to the information and help one gets from all of these good people.

    Cheers,

    Eric

LOL? Laughing Out Loud? As my daddy always used to say "Little amuses the simple"

As the previous poster has suggested there are better ways and means to gently suggest to members that they might consider a subscription.

I might very well have been about to subscribe to this forum and if I were, the likes of you, with comments such as this, would very likely have the effect of causing me to think again.

This forum benefits significantly from the ability of non subscribed members to view and contribute and they shouldn't be pressurised and bullied and ridiculed into feeling that they need to subscribe. I'm sure most members who find their post numbers creeping up ultimately make the decision to subscribe but even if they don't they do add to the experience, visit the sponsors, and support the forum in other ways.

If I join, what warranty do you provide on your advice? In other words, if I screw up the job relying on the details located in your special post for me, what, if any, recourse do I have? Just want to make sure I understand all terms and conditions. Thank you.

I agree with subscribing... for the change that it costs to subscribe, if anyone benefits from one small piece of info on this site- the fee becomes a non-issue. In fact I would view non-subscription as almost parasitic :)

No flaming, just stating my opinion.. would be terrible to see a site as this with invaluable info closed/ out of business over tight-ass Ferrari owners unable to afford less than a good dinner price of membership to an online forum...

If the site has been ZERO benefit to you, do not join. However if you have gained ANY info you found valuable & you have not joined... you are a parasite :)

Referring to people such as me as a tight-ass and a parasite is not exactly a useful way of making friends and influencing people.

I am not on this site for a popularity contest, I am stating a simple fact. If someone benefits from this site & does not pay a few dollars for membership, how else would you desribe that person other than a parasite>? This is a Ferrari site, pretty safe to assume anyone on this site can afford a petty $15?

I just think not subscribing is an indicator of ones personality... those that donate to the site, want to help others & do all they can to keep this site up & running... those that do not, are self-centered - me me me types & could care less about others.

I personally would be embarrased if I took info & did not subscribe... Same thing as getting public assistance (welfare), some people are OK with receiving something for nothing.. personally I would rather pay my own way & hold my head high. Even if that $15 subscription meant I could not afford gas in my 360 for the day... ;)

Nonsense. Do you subscribe to Google, Yahoo, Bing and every other Internet based information source?

You suggest that all non subscribed members are doing nothing but extracting information. Even a cursory review of posts will inform you otherwise.
