When removing the RHD radiator, would the oil rad underneath need to come out as well?

    Update on my overheating problem:
Since buying over £1,000 worth of rads and fans this week (But not installing!!!!), the 348 is no longer overheating. However the oil rad fan has stopped working!!!

I'm still replacing everything anyway. :)

From just looking at it I'm gonna have to say no. But then again I haven't had to pull the right side radiator. I do know that there are two bolts that hold the top radiator to the bottom oil cooler.

There is a retaining bracket that holds the radiator in place from the top. Two nuts hold the bracket, to a bar, that is up under the rear quarter pannel. You will need to remove the front part of the wheel well liner to get access to the radiator, maybe even the top one too for more room to move. Once you have access remove both of those nuts and then completely take the bracket out of the way. But before you do that, drain the radiator via the plastic screw on the bottom right hand corner, disconnect both of the hoses, and unhook the cooling fan wires. After you have removed the top bracket this should give you some room to lift the radiator up off of the oil cooler, of course after you remove both of the bolts holding it to the cooler.

Try that before you drain the engine oil and disconnect the oil lines to the cooler.

If you get a little water/coolant on the fan connection you'll sometimes blow a fuse.

I'd suggest disconnecting the electrical clip on the radiator, applying Stabilant 22a to the contacts, then reconnecting. Replace the blown fuse in the passenger footwell (assuming that's the correct location for UK cars).

How do you know it's stopped working?

It only comes on when the oil gets hot.

I had to replace my temp. sending unit on the oil radiator as the fan stayed on continuously.

Thanks for the info guys. Will be doing it this week.

I checked it when the oil was very hot, about mid point on the dial and the fans was'nt working at all.

I'm going to replace the fan switch and see if that works. Otehrwise it's a case of trying a new fan.

Had a look at the manual and it says the following about removing the rads:

Disconect the two water ducts and the electric cables if working on the right hand radiator (on the left side instead the tank filler must be removed)

    What's the tank filler?

The manual is whacked. I've changed my left side 348 Spider radiator and you don't have to remove the fuel filler line. Heck, it's just a few bolts and screws to yank the thing out: http://webpages.charter.net/aircover/348/1994Ferrari348Spider.html#Water
