Hi all, we've got an SD3 that previously we've been paying out an extortionate amount each year to renew the licence, and it's due again. Obviously, as this machine no longer has support from Ferrari, is it possible to remove the timer? I've seen units previously listed as having no timer, and this is something we'd like to do. Can this be done outside of Digitec? I know a very good computer specialist who can hopefully crack it for me, unless someone knows a quicker way? Many thanks!
That is interesting, because when I worked at the dealership we had two different SD3's that have never requested any kind of renewal information on them after years of use. No new software was ever installed on them. What does your SD3 display on it? Perhaps there is a way to unlock them? The DEIS diagnostic unit had a renewal date that let you know when it was coming up for renewal. Same with the SD2's, which we has three of, they never needed any renewal updates. The last time we tried to use the 458 Challenge diagnostic software it did not work because the licensing had expired. The renewal fee was outrageous, so it was decided not to be renewed.
I need to double check the screen and what it says now its expired. It's crazy that we still have to pay this licence fee - with the machine no longer supported you'd think that when we speak to Maranello for a code, there would be a lifetime one now.
