I am working on installing a radar detector in my 430.

I realized that there is no accessory wire up in the headliner area, so I have to run the wire down to underneath the dash. I got the wires over to the A-Pillar, but cannot seem to figure out how to remove the A-Pillar.

Then, from there, anyone know of an easy spot to run the wires to tap into ground and accessory power?

    Thanks!

On my 360 spider I was thinking on looking for a live from the cabin light above the rear view mirror. Anybody tried this?

Dude. Go for the cabin light, there's a key operable wire--easy, pleasy. Don't make it harder than it is. Ten minute yob.

Can anyone confirm the accessory power wire up in the cabin light?

I tried this at first, but everything I found appeared to have a "constant" power... so the radar detector would ALWAYS be on, rather than on and off with the car.

    Thanks!

Yes, that makes sense when you think about it. I don't think there's anything up there (except maybe back-light for the clock?) that has ignition-switched power.

No clock on a 430 spider. Simply a dome light and bluetooth microphone

There's a bluetooth microphone up there on your car? Well, you learn something every day... :)

hahahaha YES! Actually, works decent... on my end anyways... people on the other end of the conversation complain.

IPOD connection in the glovebox too! Very handy! :)

Great car Tim, I am very happy with it.... just not happy with the lack of good weather to drive it in! :)

You're not saying 430 owners don't know what time it is, are you?
