I'd like to take off the black rear bumper on my TR to make it look more modern/euro. It seems that this black piece will just come off and then there will need to be some paint work and filling done to cover up where it was. Anyone done this b4? Also, I'm painting the lower skirts and adding 360 modenao wheels next year!

When I had my TR's rear bumper repainted.....I considered leaving off the central part. It's only attached with 4 studs and nuts. What I was gonna do was fill in the holes to a depth of maybe an inch from the finished side of the bumper, leaving the remainder of the hole towards the backside. This way if I decided to re-attach the central bumper I could simply re-drill the holes out from the backside. I think it's a tasteful modification to a US car.
