Many thanks Mario. What was the problem if not the Windows ECU? Door microswitch?

Hi all. Think I have located the Window /Door Ecu
This is photo from under the dash by the right side next to the pillar. I don’t think need to move carpet edge?
It has black piece of vinyl? partly over silver box and the green Windows / Door ECU module behind it as Mike indicated.
I am 70 yrs old and 6’ 1” tall - Now I’ve seen its location using my phone camera, I’m not so sure I can get access to it!

Next job. Take off the 2 nylon lock nuts off the green ECU module (can’t see near one on photo as hidden by the bracket of the silver top box).

Is the silver box the Shock Absorbers ECU?
I’m looking at EuroSpares site which has good diagrams and parts numbered etc with prices but doesn’t show the piggy back Windows ECU with the silver (shock absorbers ECU? ) on top of it.
    Am I right?

Any tips on removing the connectors would be much appreciated as it’s gonna be tricky with limited access!

The plug is a pain to remove, but it can be done with a bit if fiddling and moving left right you push those side pins in... I remember took me a while. My problem was the window microswitch in the end, and only the position ! I ended up installing a new one just cause I was there...

I’ve had a quick go at getting the connectors off but with only room (for me) with basically 1 hand - I couldn’t budge even the 2 smaller ones! Any suggestions?

Maybe I will pop the ecu on the 2 bolts and then I can maybe get more purchase on the connectors - if I can get to them?

... and like @mike32 said, only way is to push chair back to max, and lay down on your back head under the dash... at least that's how I did it.

The single plug has a hook on one side it- be dead sure you do not damage it

Mike, is the single plug like the weird F355 Window ECU plug where you have to move the plug sideways? i.e. completely unintuitive. i.e. wiggle the plug sideways, then unclick and pivot...

Video here of the 355 Window ECU removal:

I think the big single connector is this type.
Thanks very much for the info.

So not like the video I posted? "Hard to get fully home" could be because everyone is doing it wrong :p

What is "this type"? The move sideways then unclick/pivot type? Anyway, let us know how you go. Just don't force it if you're not sure.

It pulls straight out, when you refit it you need to make sure it is fully home

Doesn’t appear to be any catches like on the F355 connector to release first?
