I can get a great deal on Remus exhaust for my 2001 360 Spider. Does anyone have Remus on their 360? Any feedback? Thanks! Alex

Never even heard of the company. I run a tubi and hyperflow cats on my car and have been very happy with the sound, quality, etc.

    Hi,
I do have a Remus exhaust on my 360 coupe 2001. Great sound.
One funny thing though is that the exhaust is looking very much like a capristo (which is german, remus being austrian..) and it is written LC Racing on it, who is the garage in germany who fitted it. So I don't know if Capristo and Remus are the same maybe??? If anybody knows...
Anyway, here in the UK (I live there but the car is originally from Germany)the exhaust is at 1,400 GBP fitted (2,800 USD) and with a lifetime warranty for the person who bought it (not transferable).
    Good luck in your search.

Remus is one of the mufflers of choice for Ducati motorcycles. Excellent sound and more durable then many others.

I have not heard it on a 360 or Challenge Stradale but I was tempted to try it but ended up with a Tubi Stradale system. I would think it would be excellent though.

Whoever you buy it from, make sure it's from an authorized source.
We also have sound clips, PM us if interested.

Quote from GCalo who posted this on FChat some time ago :

"Here is my current review of the Remus muffler.

Mr. Brian installed one today on a 2001 F1 360 coupe. He called after the muffler was installed and functional but before the car was fully reassembled. Brian will have to comment about the installation.

He started a fully stock coupe within his shop, and with my sound pressure level meter I measured the readings based upon what was required originally by the CHP-18"-24" from one tailpipe and at a 45 degree angle.

    The fully stock muffler read:
    Idle 95 dB
    1,500 rpm 98 dB
    2,500 rpm 93 dB

The dB decrease at 2,500 is due to cam angles as well as the engine starting its native balance.

He then started the Remus system. Again all measurements were within his shop. You can expect a 3-4 dB difference (decrease) if taken outside.

    The Remus muffler read:

    Idle 98 dB
    1,500 rpm 101 dB
    2,500 rpm 102-103 dB

Certainly the evaluation is not based solely upon noise levels.

Build quality is quite good, welds are well done, and everything seemed to fit and line up well with little fuss.

There is absolutely no low RPM resonance or drone. It sounds very nice, and it looks very nice as well. The tips are very attractive.

It weighs about 1/2 of what a too be weighs, and about only 25% of what the stock unit weighs.

Around 5 PM when the car was completely assembled, Brian and I went for a ride. The unit sounds beautiful all the way to redline. Again, no droning and no high pitch whistle sounds up or down the RPM scale.

It makes a very good quality sports car sound that is in no way overly loud, offensive, or tiring within the vehicle either. It is quite nice. There are no high frequency rings or vibrations.

You cannot go wrong with it, and at $2,800.00 it is a very good value in light of what the others are selling!

If you want loud, offensive, and attention getting, this muffler is not for you.

If you want a refined sound that is politely throaty, this is the muffler for you.

I would give this unit a two thumbs up, and I will not hesitate to put one on my own 360.

The Remus rep said this is the first unit to be installed in the US.

    Any other questions ask away."

Well... Some people invent something great, then others come along and start copying it.

Go for Capristo, you won't regret it. Had it on my 360, great sound, excellent quality.

Remus has been rebadged under many different names including Brabus, Gemballa.

Our exhaust is not as loud as Capristo's.

Thank you for solving a mystery for me. I'd driven a silver 360 before buying mine and was absolutely amazed at the exhaust note... the muffler read LC Racing and I couldn't find reference to it anywhere.

I ended up putting a Stage II Tubi on my car, sounds similar... just not quite as loud.
