I thought this might be of interest. The sound is just fantastic. I get cold chills listening to it. enjoy http://wmediavod.coltfrance.com/wme...5_0_320x240.wmv
I feel silly responding to my own post, but the link doesn't work for me over here. I copy and pasted the link from another forum and it plays fine there. But I can't get it to play from here. It plays perfectly for me in the other forum. Let me know if I have screwed something up.
You didn't copy and paste it right. URLs in forums are automatically shortened to a certain about of characters and when that happens, you see "..." in the middle of the URL. You copied that part by accident instead of the entire link. Right click on the URL in the other forum to get a properties box and copy it from there.

Those things still amaze me! Is that a red light or are the headers actually glowing red? I swear I could see the brightness increase at one point. Amazing machines indeed! I don't suppose there's much chance of anyone finding a video like that of a Ferrari F1 test but I'd sure love to see it!
Yes, those are the headers. There is a video circulating on the Internet of an Arrows F1 engine being revved, and at one point the exhaust manifold is glowing bright yellow, with all the surrounding illuminated by the reflected light. In these situations you're looking at EGTs of around 800 degrees Celcius. The brightness and colour of the manifold does change very rapidly; your eyes don't decieve you. BTW: How can I save this file to my hard drive? I've located it in the temporary internet files, but it's in a format no player can view...
The stats are impressive: built from 5000 pieces, 1500 movable pieces, 70L/100Km (thats even worse than my Hummer, and I never thought that was possible ), it takes 15 days to complete an engine.
Thanks for the reply. Amazing stuff!! I saved it simply by right clicking the link and using "save as". Saved it to "my videos" and it seems to work.
It does save, but only as a link to the website video (about 244 kb). Does anyone have a way to download the complete video to watch offline? Unplug your internet after downloading and it does not play. But thank you for the thread. It is amazing to watch.
>any way to download the complete video to watch offline? The file is served in streaming format. You need some software tool like the "SDP Receiver" to save it. http://sdp.ppona.com SDP is an ingenious utility program and it is free. However, sometimes it is not easy to configure it to work. Try chaning the proxy setting and the DNS resolve tickbox if it fails to run initally.
Here's a different F1 testing video, I didn't want to start a new thread just in case it's a repost. http://www.angeltowns2.net/smele/video/f1engine.wmv Pretty amazing.
Man I just cannot get enough of that sound. I keep coming back to this thread just to listen to that V10 SCREAM!
