Certainly not the opinion of the "average" citizen. I have been following this over the last 45 years. I am a scientist and an engineer with a minor in economics:: in my opinion it is already too late to save the world. The last chance to actually prevent a total climate catastrophe was about 15-10 years ago. And as of today: there is not enough money in the world to fix what we are currently doing. So: why not just plow forward as if nothing was wrong at all ?? {Written without the slightest amount of sarcasm}
I believe that climate changes are cyclic, and have nothing to do with human intervention. They existed before mankind. A climate "catastrophe", if it happens, will not affect everyone. On that note, I do nothing about it.
China remains the single biggest problem for C02 emissions. And the West allowed it to continue by importing their cheaply (coal powered) produced plastic tat. Smart !
