Renting a Ferrari for a wedding...

    Hello all! I was doing a google search and came across this site... Does anyone know of a place where I can rent a Ferrari *resonably* for my wedding. We want to use it to get from the church to the reception hall... I have my heart set on doing something out of the ordinary...

    Any ideas? Anyone on here rent their car? I can be reached at [email protected]

    We are getting married on Long Island...

    Thanks!!!!! I saw that site and printed it... only thing is they can't guarantee a weekend rental and you can get bumped... and we don't need it for the whole weekend:

    Weekend Rental Information

    A 2-day minimum is required for a guaranteed weekend reservation. We can take reservations for 1-day rentals (Sat. -> Sun.) or 1/2-day rentals (Sat. or Sun.) on a non-guaranteed / last-minute basis only. What that means is that we'll gladly rent you the car of your choice for a single day on the weekend, but a 2-day rental will take priority and you may be bumped to a different car.

    Simone -- congrats on your wedding. I really do wish we could help, however your wedding date falls on the Labor Day holiday weekend, which is one of the two busiest weekends of the year for us (Memorial Day weekend is the other one). In order to guarantee a 1/2-day or 1-day rental, we'd have to turn away other customers who want the car for the full 3-day weekend, and as I'm sure you can understand, that wouldn't make business sense for us.

    However, there are a few options -- give me a shout via PM or at 877-2-GOTHAM and I'll gladly do my best to help out.

    Funny ferrari wedding story. Cute girl who works at the trailer place where I bought my trailer, was telling me an embarassing story. When she got married to her husband a friend offered to lend them his ferrari for the wedding, they were so happy! they took hundreds of pictures with it, turns out a few years later the finally figured out it was a fiero kit car (and not even a good one at that) Now looking back they feel like dopes with all the pictures with a hacked up fiero but they are wearing the "i'm in a ferrari smile".

    Lamarossa should start a rental company.

    I'm keeping hope alive and hope to find an "exotic car"... Just trying to do something different, memorable in the wedding game ;-) A sports car driving off into the sunset is more us than a limo...

    They weren't driving it - there was a driver and a couple - article says about 3 ppl taken to the hospital.

    Thanks for the article... But we are SOOOO not going to drive fast... It is more for the pictures and "wow" factor of not having a limo...

    How can you have a driver? Doesn't the car seat only 2???

    The t was made from 1989-93. From the pic, that is a Mondial T.

    A Mondial seats 4, though if you are an adult and have legs you might find the rear VERY tight.

    Was not that easy for Karen to get into the racing seats with her dress on...but still made for some good pictures, and a drive at 2:30am after the reception.

    Hope someone could at least show up with their Ferrari and have the new couple take some photo's with the car.

    ONE OF THE GUYS FROM WORK (BMW DEALER) HAD A WEDDING AND ONLY LET BIMMERS PARK IN FRONT OF THE RECEPTION. NOW I KNOW ITS NOT AS EXOTIC AS F-CARS BUT I HAD TO ADD SOMETHING
