I now have a 2nd cracked rim in 2 months on my F430. Apprx 1/2 inch long on inside rim to edge of front driver side rim. Tire goes flat in about a day. Pothole caused last cracked rim and I bought a new one.

Any opinions on the safety and savings of having this one reputably repaired? Some have insisted to me to never go the repair route.

You will get many opinions. I had two cracked Challenge wheels repaired on my 360 8 years ago with short cracks just as you describe. One cracked again a year later in the center of the repair. Repaired that one myself(Tig) and it has been fine ever since. Tracked the car a few times and did an open road race with no concerns. If I had a repair shop, I would not weld a customer's wheel. Like tire shops voiding the warranty if a tire is plugged. The customer wrecks his car, the repaired crack or plug caused it. Ferraris with new wheels do not wreck.
