    Morning 355'ers

    I recently purchased the Right Rear engine protector (Part number 64501500) because my 1999 355 F1 Spider did not have one.

    Has anyone ever requested from Ferrari a replacement VIN tag? Wondering if it is worth the effort and aggravation to get one for this side.

    Nothing on this forum found regarding VIN replacement.

    Hey Bob,

    I don't believe the VIN is on that panel - I can have a look later but I'm 99% sure.

    The VIN is in the following places:

    1) Driver's side door jamb pillar (hinge) Metal, riveted plate

    2) Driver's side door jamb, latch side (sticker)

    3) Steering cover surround

    4) Stamped into the frame near the panel you reference - the panel has a cut out to see it.

    Thanks, there are holes there for Something, I just assumed it was the VIN Plate or a Paint Code plate. Just went over some of the photos of other 355's that I have and correct, there is nothing there.

    Yet in another photo, there are two (2) tags there, like a VIN tag but cannot make them out.

    Wondering why there are holes then??? Hmmph. Can it be a wrong part?

    The Part is made from not only US cars so other markets may have a plate there..
