Replacing my battery today i made the discovery that the stock battery terminals are pure garbage. I have no idea how these things get as beat up as they do (A rarely touched part of the car!) But I figure it's because they must be made of Chinese play doh. One was so wallered out I couldn't tighten it over the new post. As sensitive as these cars are to electrical gremlins, I can't help but think that the terminals being worn may contribute to some of the ghost CELs people experience. I picked up these heavy duty ones and just installed them. Much cleaner look and hopefully less wierd issues.

I wish I took a pic befire I buttoned it up. I had to modify the stock hold down by running a die over the hooks and extending the thread a few more inches, then cut off about an inch and a half from each hook so it wouldn't stick out.

@RANDY6005 Not sure if it's in my head, but does your PC925 seem to take longer to get back to 100% on a tender than standard batteries?

Yes ! at first I thought the battery was bad, I pulled it out and took it to have tested @ two different places both side very good nothing wrong, then I took it the battery depot where the warranty them and they checked it said in great shape to . I have driven my car over thousand miles sense I installed it no problems.

Wow, those OE battery clamps do look beat up for some reason. Mine is OE and looks great.

But those new ones you put on are absolutely way better for sure.

Can you share with us where you got those new ones from?

    Thanks Matt.

    Sure,

    https://www.kicker.com/BT4

I got them from Best Buy since they were in stock locally and they price matched WalMart, it was around $17 ordering from them. There's a lot of them out there but I liked the idea of these having the protective plastic covers.
