Replaced Auto and Reverse Switches

Both the Auto and R switches on my ‘09 599 had become quite mucky. I purchased the replacement set from StickyRX. I installed them today and whole process took less than an hour. Not a difficult project. The trickiest part is prying the metal switch housing from the carbon fiber center console. I had a set of hard plastic trim removal tools purchased from Amazon. Suggest don’t use anything metal. Does not take much pressure to pop the metal switch housing out. I just pressed down and toward the engine on the right corner and it popped off.

Replaced the switches while sitting in the passenger seat. The harness plug was wrapped in foam insulation which appeared to be used to minimize rattles. It in itself was a sticky mess. Had to carefully unwrap the harness so I could disconnect.
