I replaced my dead battery, do I need to do anything else with the car before use? Anything to reset or set?

Let it idle for 10 mins or so for it to reset the parameters on the first start. Then go drive her and enjoy!

The start sequence is in the manual but as I recall, you turn to key on, let it sit for something like 30 seconds, start the car and let idle (can't remember the time). DO NOT touch any controls or gas pedal after you start the car.

Those are the drive cycle not the reset startup sequence. Different things but he will need your procedure too in order to set the monitors.

I was told it was the same process as the first procedure in the process I offered is to turn off the battery. The third attachment is technical service bulletin from Ferrari.

Turn the key to start the car. Don't touch the accelerator at all. It'll run rough for a minute or so until the car parameters are reset. Once it's running smoothly you're done.

Wait 10 seconds with the ignition on before starting the engine - this is to let the motorised parts of the car learn their positions.

Once the engine is started, the engine may run rough for a little while whilst the adaptive parameters (fuel trims) are re-learnt.
