The AC display was dead on my 95 348. I replaced it with a big glass fuse. Nothing happened right away but after fooling with things a little, ignition off/on, etc. the display lit up. The clock was flashing and the system seemed to be going through a check. It displayed E5 and E6, which are error codes I think. When I shut the ignition off and now I can't get the display to turn back on.

I have downloaded the factory workshop manual but it doesn't seem to have info on how to remedy a dead display. Does anyone have a troubleshooting chart? I do suspect the relay that the hidden fuse was attached to. It looks old and the contacts are corroded. Then again, that describes all the contacts on the car pretty much.

    Where do I go next?

I'm not trying to state the obvious and you have probably done this already, have you checked the connector that plugs into the back of display? I was getting all sorts of bizarre intermittent behavior out of mine until I realized that was the problem. Mine is trouble free now.
