Hogwash ! If you have the RED (Master) FOB you are OK. The Black FOB has your Pin Number. You will need the Red to Program the Replacement Black FOB.
If the Red 1 is missing, the above Info is Correct. I believe the Relacement Set is $1K+.

Unless something has recently changed you can buy a set of remotes independant of the alarm unit itself. Then you need the code. FNA kept a record for every car and has it on file. The dealer can get it for the asking if you provide proof of ownership. Then you need to go through a process to reprogram the car to the new remote frequency.
It is not cheap or easy but can all be done.

Your other option is to bypass the security system altogether which is possible on the 355.

You better check with your dealer. I am not the original owner and I did not obtain the manual unlock/enable code (I did not know to ask for it). While I have all my red/black keys, I wanted the manual code in case my remote's battery died. My dealer checked and they were denied the code despite presenting documented dealer-only history and stacks of ownership proof. FNA would rather I buy the whole new ECU/alarm package.

Sounds great...are you talking about by pass the related wiring from alarm control unit to the engine ECU?
I have similar problem with my costumer '97 456Gta,lost his keys and fobs when he moved 2 years ago.The car still lay in his garage and never been start till now..He spoke to the dealer before but refused to pay for the new remote/key set..I've no idea how much it cost, anyway.
However, local locksmith be able to open the door even can turn the ignition to "on" position.Of course, still need to disarm to start the engine...
Brian, any tips for this problem? Thanks in advance...

If you have only a black remote and no PIN code ... it is still possible to clone your remaining one. Find a used one somewhere (ebay :) ), copy the content of the EEPROM ... that's it. It works. Do a search on my pseudo ...

I had only one black remote and then I ordered a new set of key fobs from Ferrari (had to go through all the hoops of proving ownership, but Ferrari of Washington helped a lot here). When the new key fobs arrived, they came with TWO key codes. One was FNA's record of the current key code, and of course the other was the key code for the new set.

Spent 3-4 hours yesterday playing the re-program game, but still have not succeeded. I get the existing key code in and get the LED to go solid on, but the key cycling on/off sequence 10+ times never gets the LED to flash. In frustration last night I actually cycled it 50+ times.

I'm interested in ANY and ALL hints. I did search F.chat for other threads and found some discussions on Eric's thread about reprogramming the EEPROM. I'm going to go try again for an hour or so, but PLEASE if anyone has any tips, I'm open to all suggestions. Otherwise, I've wasted $450 on key fobs and still have only one black remote! :(

    SUCCESS - finally. :) :) :D :D

I did only one thing differently tonight than the previous 4 hours of attempts by me and the two others yesterday!

First, in preparation, I did try starting the car after entering the key code to confirm the code was correct - it did indeed start, so the key code was right.

Next, it's clearly all about the timing. Tonight I literally was as fast on the trigger as possible. As soon as the LED went out, I turned the key off and IMMEDIATELY back on - NO DELAYS. Sure enough on the 12th pass the LED flashed and I programmed the three remotes!

I'll put a slightly more detailed version of my findings on the thread about re-programming the EEPROM (which already has a lot of posts about the key fob procedure).
