I have seen a lot of decals advertised on ebay and other places. I need to replace some of the curled edge engine decals and get the "Ferrari" repainted on the Air Filter cover of my 328 gts. Someone said there is a company in CA that will repaint it. Has anyone tried that?

I'm the guy selling the decals on ebay :). Let me know what you need and I will send you pics. As far as the air box, I've never seen one that has been resprayed. I think it is a silk screen process?

FYI, www.italiancarparts.com does respray the airboxes on a lot of Ferrari models. He did a great job on my 328 airbox several years ago.

I looked on the italiancarparts website and did not see any silkscreening service. Am I missing something?

    Yes, try http://italiancarparts.com/parts/ferrariparts.html#injection

Since they are the only ones offering this service, this is pretty much where you have to go. I wouldn't recommend buying anything else from them, without checking around first...they seem a bit higher priced than most other dealers.

Will someone please post a nice, high resolution picture of an airbox with the silk screen, so I can create a template? Thanks.

I think Paul308 on Fchat here does them already using his screening process. Check the Ferrariads.com here (he advertises) or do a search on air boxes.

    Hi rolindsay and Fchatters.
Here you will find a very nice self made template image of a 308 airbox logo. Lots of work!!!! I exchange it for an airbox silk screen ;-))))
It's a B/N JPG image that can be exported to other formats I suppose, if necessary.
The pattern that you can find on eBay is very difficult to use -2 pieces-, so it will be nice if somebody creates a single silkscreen template. The problem with a silk screen or adhesive is the grainy textured original paint surface.

    Enjoy
