I have competed some initial searches and I think I found what I need, but want to confirm. After almost 20 years of ownership, my 308 front headlight finaly burned out...so I checked my owners manual and no part#. Searched the web and found lots of info on how to replace the headlights with newer, brighter bulbs. However what I really want to do is just replace the current burnt bulb with a new replacement sealed beam bulb. Am I to assume that what I am looking for is an H6024 sealed beam light? I don't really drive at night...but that is hard to do when the sun sets at 5:45PM...and I got caught this evening with only 1 headlight...so it time to replace it...actually I will probably do both at the same time. So if someone can confirm that a simple replacement is with a couple of H6024 I would be very appreciative. Thanks.

Yes, what you need is a 7" round sealed beam. The later Hella style one (H4?) can be used and the bulbs are replaceable with different wattages available. I replaced mine years ago with Sylvania Silverstar sealed beams. These aren't as bright as the Hella halogen ones, but a marked improvement over the OEM sealed beams.

JPL, I just did a Google search for my old Ferrari 308GTB 24865, and found you and this website. I purchased the car in Arizona in '85 or '86 from a gentleman in Phoenix whom I believe to be the second owner for 25K. It was originally sold to a doctor in Scottsdale by GTC Ferrari. I kept the car in Arizona for several years at a friend's house until bringing it to Islamorada where I was living. I drove to Shelton Sports Cars for an oil change one day in about '96, and fell in love with a red/tan 328GTB. The rest is history.

They also have 7" LED based lights that work. They use less power and are brighter. I am thinking of replacing mine but I do not drive at night much.

The lights are from a Jeep or Harley. Truck-lite 27270C | eBay

Henry, there is a tread somewhere on lights. Actually, I think there are a couple.

I was going to upgrade to the relay wiring for better headlights when I came across the 7" LED solution. A quick search should find it, it was not long ago.

I also have the Truck-lite LED headlights in my 328 and they are a huge improvement. They work about as well as the HID lights in my BMW or Jeep.

    Awesome. I'm doing this immediately.

I like upgrading, but only things that can be 'undone' if the desire is there.

Well thjs is very odd, I never saw this old post from 4 years ago. I did indeed buy your car, I guess shortly after you traded it in. And have had it ever since. It turns 40 this summer and the odometer is about 15K away from turning over. Would love to see pics of her if you have any from when you owned her. You can send private note and would be happy to catch you up on her.
