Can anyone recommend a scan tool/code reader for the 599. I did have a Bluetooth Elm 327 one which worked OK for the 360 and let it go with the car. There seems to be a mine field full of them now which probably all do the same basic things but wondered if any may be better than others. I am not bothered whether its bluetooth/wifi or cable as long as it does basic resets and anything else would be a bonus.

Has anyone tried/own this one, Foxwell NT510 Ferrari looks quite impressive, a little pricy but does cover quite a few Ferrari models as well as other manufacturers that you can purchase to add. Looking like the best bet at the moment.

Thanks for the info, I got the Outilsobdfacile that mike32 suggested, linked to my android. It works with the basic stuff which is all I wanted at the time. Maybe I should add one of the Foxwells to the "want for Christmas list" from the wife.

My advice is to get one with the Readiness Monitors function. They provide insight to the car’s self-diagnostics. The purpose of readiness monitors is to self-test the car’s emission control systems. The monitors are also known as Emissions Monitors. Like the name indicates, they observe the performance of car’s emission related systems.

Why is this useful? Based on where you live it could prevent you from taking your car in for an emission test prematurely before all the monitors are reset to 'Ready' after a battery disconnect.
