Hey guys, this might have already asked and answered. I only have about 200 miles to go on my Pirelli P Zeros, its time to replace. I looked up the P Zeros online and noticed they now have my tires in the Run Flats. I figured since I don't have a spare this would be a good idea. My question is, are run flats worth the extra money and is there any performance difference?

I've read that run flats give a harsh ride. Latest consensus here is the RE-11s. I have some and love them. No 225 available for front but you go up to 235 with no problem.

Agreed, run flats are not the way to go. Very harsh ride and they wear out way faster.

Better to keep a puncture repair kit for emergencies.

RE11s for mostly dry, Pilot Super Sport if you do a bit more wet work.

The best compromise for the standard F430 rim is the Bridgestone RE-11. I just put them on my car last week. The fronts are 235mm and by report are hard to get on the 7.5 in. rim. However, they do fit and don't look too wide on the rim. The rears are standard 285.My initial impression compared to P Zero-Corsa is way more grip for the RE-11 when cold and or warm. I have'nt had a chance to push them hard yet. I whent round and round trying to solve the Michelin pilot supersport ( only offered in 295 rear ) vs. the RE-11 and used help on this board to choose the RE-11!
