I'm thinking about replacing the Pirelli tires that came standard on my 458. 4,000 miles and they are pretty cooked. 3 days at the track and the rest of the miles on the street. Someone told me that the Michellins are the best. I think they are called pilot SS. Anybody have thoughts on this?

    Art,

I have been told the Michelin Pilot Super Sports for the 458 will become available some time between the 1st week in July and the 2nd week in August. It kind of depends on who you are talking to at the moment.

I have 2 track events on my Bridgestones and about 1500 street miles and I want to get a new set of Michelin Super Sports before I go to Road America, so yeah, I am in the same boat........so don't stand too close to the life jackets:)

I just installed mpss on my gt3, and I'm very happy with them. Great performance in wet and dry.

These tires have the least runout. This means they are the roundest. They also have the best grip.

When I change tires I always go Micahillin tirs. I always change both rear tires or both front tires never only one. You will mess up the handling

I am sure if you go to a dealer you will find M makes tires for the 458.

    Good luck

    Lee
