The F173 will have only 1,000 and change horsepower. The main improvements will be: Cleaner more elegant and less mosh mosh exterior design Revamped interior New trick suspension features Moderately extended battery only range vs outgoing model
Probably not THAT trick. Just normal enhancements to side slip controls etc. The main thing here is going to be cleaning up the styling on the SF90 which is currently a Frankenstein’s monster of influences ranging from the LaFerrari to F1 cars to space ships and somehow tail lights from a 20 year old Corvette
No more power than SF90XX but more than SF90 is totally believable to me. Porsche proved that people are willing to pay more for upgrades other than raw HP and Ferrari has shown its willingness to adopt this strategy as well with 12 Cilindri.
The 12 Cilindri is not the flagship anymore and the F140 has reached its limits. The new SF90 is the serial production Ferrari flagshipo though and cannot afford to be left behind in the performance race. A modest power update is to be expected. The difference between the Stradale and the XX is only 30 CV anyway.
yes as i said, on paper almost the same, real world not, to overcome the drag of the big wing, the XX def have more power than on paper..
To me this seems like a car with 30 more hp I doubt the wing causes that much drag. I am curious what the replacement will make, power wise. It should be quicker than both in a straight line.
My guess XX has a lot more than 30 hp over SF90 - est 50 plus. Massive downforce takes a lot of push.
SF90 XX stradale wing is not like F80 one, it is even made less massiv ein central part to limit downforc,e S duct being also smaller than F80 by a lot, and indeed downforce is half of F80. I think, given top speed delcare dby Ferrari to be 320 kmh on SF90XX, 30 HP may b reasonable number...SF90 stradale is aleady producing some downforce and drag despit enot having the wing, so 30 HP make sense since declared top speed is reduced by 20 kmh.
I think its 30hp more at all times, but what bout when the extra boost function engages, it might engage a bit during launch control, I have no idea but I figure thats got to add another 20-30hp more. So maybe there are times where the power difference is actually 50-60hp more. If you only look at it in this way, it’s hard to justify the extra cost for the XX. When I speak with friends who have these cars, they say the whole car is a lot more fun and involving and just feels better to them, which I think could justify the extra cost, depending on your circumstance.

For what it is worth, I have my name in the kitty for one of these when they come out. It is probably my final Ferrari special order unless I somehow get a VS which is unlikely.
I agree - it looks like from the spy shots they will make the front intakes larger on the 2nd gen. Just like the 458 to 488
Has isot or ingenere taken a crack at a rendering of the SF90 replacement? Also, any theories about the HUGE rear air inlets? Could they really be that big?!!!
