So we know that all the parts (retainer, bolt nut) of the 575 motor mount are required to replace the failing 550 mounts.

What do I do on the driver side which seems to be the most difficult side.

The steering rack needs to be pushed aside, but what do I do with the coupling? Do I detach the coupling with the single bolt at the U-joints and push it aside? Or do I have to dismantle the full steering rack in order to get to the mount?

I was thinking to push the motor already up before staring to undo the mounts. I figure if they have collapsed I should be able to push up and give myself maybe an extra centimeter half an inch.

That is correct phil but i am afraid that the lower bolt remains out of reach with this methode on the driver side.
