The only dial that does not light on my dash is now the clock .
Can the tungsten bulb in the clock be replaced simply without removing the clock?

    Nope.

Remove the 2 small black screws holding in the facade. Pull/pry gently and it will come out.

Replacing the bulb is straight forward. The bulb holder may be (probably is) corroded in place so be careful.

    Replace bulb and facade. Done.

5 minutes if you go SLOW. 10 minutes if you go 'Smart.'

Consider replacing all your bulbs w/LEDs.

    Thanks mwr4440

I did order up some LEDs for the speedo and tacho illumination , now fitted .

The standard tungsten bulb lights up the oil temp gauge fine so I will see what a straight replacement does for the clock.
The LEDs were special order and to mail them from US to UK cost as much as the bulbs !

Consider not 'plugging in' the clock. Having the clock's light work is fine.

Point is, nobody really uses the clock and it will kill a battery over time on an 'under used' car.
