Anybody ever do theirs? Mine hasn't cracked or torn, yet, but it is showing its age. if you have done it, can it be done with the windshield in place and get a nice looking job out of it where it tucks under the windshield trim?. Thanks, Doug
I had mine redone by removing dash leaving windscreen in place (mine is 81) I believe the early ones do require windscreen removal but I’m not sure of cut off date ( maybe 77?) but I’m sure others will know Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
I recently removed the dash from my 1979 US spec 308 GTS without needing to remove the windscreen (the vinyl was cracked and broken). There are two bolts on either side, accessed from the door pillars (all were corroded on mine and two sheared during removal) and a central fastener which needed the relay block removing for access. A certain amount of tugging and wriggling and, more importantly, careful use of a flat blade knife to separate the vinyl from where it had stuck to the bottom of the windscreen surround, were needed to get it out. It was much easier to put it back in and the dash top slid under the screen neatly and securely. You obviously need to remove the instrument binnacle first. Steve
Yes, it can be done with the windshield in place on a 77 GTB. The edge folds back, but again not sure on a 79. Image Unavailable, Please Login
