Hoping for some help here with my 430; I noticed recently that when the engine is running and sat in neutral the F1 pump was cycling every 20-30 seconds or so. But would hold pressure for 8-10mins with the engine off. I was advised it was likely the clutch solenoid leaking pressure while holding the clutch out with the engine running in that situation. So I went ahead a swapped out the EVF valve and have bled the clutch lines upper and lower nipples with my launch endlessly. I can’t seem to get any air out of the system but the clutch is now dragging on the flywheel as the system drops pressure. In first gear the car will roll forward. It wouldn’t drag before even with the pump cycling regularly. is there a better process for bleeding the system than just the clutch lines. There’s no info out there for replacing these solenoid valves.
I will be more than happy to help diag this on the phone I sent you a Pm message to schedule a time Sent from my moto g power using Tapatalk
Ok managed to get it sorted. At least back to it’s original state. I put the old valve back in and re-bled the system. Could instantly tell the difference in pressure coming out of the bleed nipples. So much so it blew the line off and sent fluid everywhere! So that was fun… The new valve just wasn’t sending enough pressure to be able to hold the clutch up and so it was dragging. No issues at all with the old valve back in, just the pump cycles every 30-40 seconds now. So slightly better than before. So I’ve been sent either a wrong or fault QPV valve which I’ll look into.
Glad you got to the bottom of it I am helping someone else that I believe also got a defective part I would definitely still replace the solenoid..the freq running if pump will eventually ruin motor etc Sent from my moto g power using Tapatalk
