    Hi Everyone,

    I am replacing my rusted out header tank on my '79 308. Is there any particular procedure I can follow to just switch out the tanks or must I flush/drain the enitre system and then replace the tank.

    When I had my leaky tank repaired ( '85 308), I siphoned the coolant out of the tank and pinched off the hoses for removal. Upon reinstallation, I just topped it off and did a thorough bleed. However, it never hurts to replace the coolant anyway.
