    Do you mean the very thin strip on the edge of the door panel? If so, no the door panel does not need to come off. But, that trim is tight so a little prying is needed.

    Yup that rubber trim on the exterior of the door.

    Hey Ryan,

    I'm misunderstanding you. What rubber trim are you referring to? I was talking about a leather trim piece.

    Check out the first pic. See on the exterior of the door? See near the door triangle? You can see the trim is cut. Looking to remove and replace that.

    Got it - I understand now. The inner mirror triangle needs to come off for sure as a seal in that area covers the trim you wish to replace.

    Personally, I would remove the door panel for much better access. It only takes 5-10 minutes to remove the door panel.
