    Hello:

I am getting ready to replace the plugs, wires, and extenders on my Euro '84 Mondial QV. I've found (and ordered) NGK BP6ES plugs at a good price, and am searching for a set of Taylor universal wires now.

I have a question regarding the extenders... I would like to replace all 8 due to their age, but I can't seem to find them at a reasonable price. I've read references to others purchasing them for $8 each, but I can't seem to find them for less than $30 each! Does anyone have a cheaper source for the extenders? (Or should I just not worry about the extenders unless I see anything wrong with them?)

Also, since my car is a Euro model, are there any difference in wire/plug/extender specifications (vs. the U.S. counterpart cars) that I should be aware of?

    Thanks!

Get the correct extenders for your car as they come in two variations (resistor and non-resistor types).

As to using only OEM wires--- HUH? Do not know where you got that.

Once my OEM wires come off permanently (Cavis), I will NEVER put them back on my car .............

I have seen a gentleman offer what appear to be CAVIS plug-wire sets on ebay. Does anyone have experience with this vendor? He's also selling the Red and the Black plug-wire extenders for both the 308 2V and the 308 4V/328 cars....the prices seem reasonable, but....anyone care to chime-in?

The Kingsborne website indicates the correct OHM-rating for the plug extenders per model year, its very informative.

I ordered the extenders off of eBay.

I've read the thread detailing the wire replacement using the Accel wires many times. The car in the thread is a GT4. My car is a Mondi 308 QV. Will the Accel wires work?

It's been working fine on my 80 2V for 2 years. The QV may have a different ignition set-up, others will know better than I on any possible differences, but overall, I'm happy with my conversion.

    Good luck
