I have acrylic shields on the fender of my 328, like to remove and replace them with new and better ones. What product should I use to remove the old ones without damaging the fenders? Please Help......

Once you start to remove them you might wish you had left them alone. I have the same shields on my 86 and thought about doing the same but thought better of it. If they aren't coming off now they would probally be a real b###ch to get off. Good Luck with what ever you do. MBG

First Disclaimer I have never removed tried this with a Ferrari!

    Now the method:

A hairdryer. Be carefull not to get the paint to hot.

I have used this method to remove bumper stickers.

My kids were all the time putting bumper stickers on their cars.

One day I was taking up floor tile with a butane torch and they

needed a sticker removed, so I used my wife's hairdryer and it worked.

Again I never did this to a Ferrari. If you can get an extra shield and

put it on another painted surface and try it.

    Good luck

Can't help you, but if you come up with a solution without damaging the paint, I'm sure lots of people here would be interested. Did the car come that way?? Mine was plain (no shields) but I use the magnetic one. Leave them on for daily driving but take them off for shows.

not a hair dryer but a heat gun. harbor freight 10 bucks. warm it up, use a stiff plastic bodo spreader peel/scrape as much of the shield off as possible. when it cools off use any glue remover you like or if it's really stubborn you can get a polishing wheel for your drill at any body shop supply. just tell them what you want it for. i've removed pin stripes with the wheel with very good results.
