replacing studs on transaxle, need the sealant used on threads

    These trans studs go into the oil so it needs some kind of sealant.
    Honda bond, loctite something.

    I looked at the wsm but couldn"t find a reference for these studs, if anyone knows im all ears

    Permatex or Locktite are solid products.
    This is a straight sealer:
    Permatex 59214 - High Temperature Thread Sealant | O'Reilly Auto Parts

    I like Permatex Blue threadlocker because it will seal as well as prevents any loosening over time. Holes should be relatively clean and oil free.

    Typically studs are meant to go in pretty tight but I would be super careful and follow the torque spec exactly since aluminum threads dont respond well to "tight"
