    This is my understanding there is a filter inside the oil reservoir which is non- replaceable. Also there is a BMW cross reference part for half a Ferrari price as a genuine part. Any of you consider changing the reservoir with power steering flush at list once since our cars are 18 year old. Thanks, Sark.

    Sark, I do think there's a non-replaceable screen in the reservoir - most cars are setup like this to keep large particles from entering the pump & wreaking havoc with the pump & rack. So I think it would be a great idea to change the reservoir since the cars are so old.

    Sark please provide details if you use the BMW part, would be interesting to know.
    And I would add at least on 575's, if it's not been done already to replace the PS reservoir to pump hose while you're at it. They seep and are often the source of a leak blamed on the front left shock.

    Bill, if you do search in the interchangeable section you come up with more information but this the what listed.
    Ferrari part number 170877 and BMW part number 32416851218 for $ 30 identical or I would say same product.
