IIRC this is one of the many, many ads that ad companies make to gain attention, with no relation whatsoever to the company (in this case BMW) the ad apparently comes from. Another example that comes to my mind would be the VW Polo 'ad' where a suicide bomber blows himself up in a Polo, which remains intact despite the explosion.
There is a video for this commercial, I can't remember where I saw it. It's a funny commercial and is somewhat related, the concept anyway. Too hot for American TV apparently.
