    993 GT2's are quite rare in comparison to the later.

    The best one is one I could own;

    996 GT2 are entering the $80's.
    Just a few more years..

    My Precious.

    996 GT2 is a lot of car for the money.

    The Porsche enthusiasts know this car and appreciate it.

    It already is a collector car.

    It has a lot going - a no frills supercar + low production #'s.

    The new GT2, has too many gee-wiz electronic gadgets.

    Aside from the current broad downturn in the economy, these cars have lost little in value over the last two years.

    I agree. I've owned Porsches for over 30 years and currently have 22 911's. I've got a 2003 GT2. It is an incredible car. It's the first car that I've ever owned that has more power than I have balls (I've modifed the ECU, plenum and airbox). My 575 drives like a Toyota in comparison (I still love it though).

    While my GT3 ain't too shabby as setup, a 996 GT2 would be very nice! And to think one finished second overall in this years One Lap of American shows a well setup and driven 996 chasis can still hang with the best! :)

    Isn't the winner of the last three or five or so One Lap of America a modified 996Turbo? That says a lot about the chassis!
