430 Reset airbag light

Prior owner replaced cluster so I assume that is why my airbag light is on. My Foxwell NT520 with the Ferrari software won't reset the code (confirmed with Foxwell). Any code reader under $500 that can do this or am I stuck with dealer and the SD3?

 

Is there any non dealer tool that can do this regardless the price?

 

Dunno if this would work, but what about cycling the key switch in the passenger door jamb a few times, maybe trying to leave it off for a bit then turn back on. No Idea if this would work. just a thought. These electrical gremlins will have you pulling out your hair sometimes. Good luck.

 

I had the same issue. I was able to reset it with Autoenginuity with the Ferrari software. Other than that, I think the Leo or SDx is your only hope. None of the Foxwells will talk to the airbag ECU.

 

@RedNeck do you have experience with the Launch X431 system? Just wondering how does it compare with Autoenginuity

 

I don’t but it has been discussed here if you want to search. I think it’s decent for some things like setting PIS and stuff but still doesn’t have the capabilities of the Leo, etc. maybe someone else can weigh in.

 

The x431 will talk to a 360 airbag module. Hopefully the 430 airbag module is the same. However, that does not mean it can reset the code.
