I thought this would be a helpful information for those who disconnect their battery and have to "reset" their Becker radio with the code.

If you lose the radio code you have 2 options. Give Vin # to dealer and they might be able to retrieve it for you. That's if the car was purchased there or if they're willing to go the extra step to get. Good luck with option 1. The other option is to remove the radio and retrieve the serial # from the back of the radio. Send it to Becker and they'll send you the code.

Once you have the code in all likelihood, if the battery was disconnected or if you entered a code incorrectly, you'll have to "reset" the radio. When you turn the radio on you'll see a "WAIT" message on the radio. And it really does mean WAIT. You have to leave the radio "ON" for a time before that WAIT message disappears and CODE message presents. The time you WAIT depends on how many times an incorrect code was entered.

Either way while the car is parked, hook it up to a battery tender and push the ON button on the radio. You will get the WAIT message. Leave the radio ON while driving and eventually you will see the CODE message on the radio. Enter the correct radio Code and all will be good.

Sorry if this info was already posted but I had a tough time finding it. Thought it would be a simple and easy source to correct the issue.

    Best regards,
    Thomas

So I turned off my battery and now the radio wont power on. Is a radio reset required? I have code but when I press power nothing happens. Radio worked fine before

Before calling the dealer or Becker, slide the radio out and look over its chassis for the four digit code usually written in felt tipped pen. Usually you aren't the first person to not have the code and it is not that uncommon for the last guy to just write it on the radio once he retrieves it. If that fails, there are a few guys on eBay that will quickly supply your Becker code once you give them the model and serial number of your radio. The last time I used one of the eBay guys he only charged me $3 and I had the code within two hours.

That is very odd. The radio should simply power up and ask you for the code. There isn't any reset I know of.

I'm thinking i might just unplug it and plug it back in as i have read that solved the problem but was simply looking for corroboration of that solution
