    Once the cause of the 1/4 cel is solved, does the light go out by itself or do you have to reset the ECU?

    Reset. Disconnect battery for 20 seconds or more. Reconnect and idle car for 15 minutes. Don't drive it!

    It will also go out after 50 start-drive-stop cycles if the code is not detected again.
