Hello Dan. I hope you are well. The restoration is VERY close to "completion" (in quotes because it will be a while before it's 100% finished; the last 5% details will take some time to finalize as I make sure they are as correct as I can make them). The car looks fabulous. I get chills when I look at it being sooooo close!

Wonderful news! Can't wait to see pictures. I hope it gets lots of invites. Being among the first of the P400s, it should!

As a point of interest: the same door stops were used on early ISO Grifo cars. They are Bertone-designed and manufactured parts and they do break after 40-50 years of use. The giveaway of early door straps: a noticeable clanking noise when they reach the intermediate and end positions.

Is Steve Kouracos still in Rancho Santa Margarita ? What a shame he's been banned on Fchat. His explanations and advice were always welcome. I was able to visit him in his shop a few years ago, and I saw the Miura. A very nice guy.

Unfortunately a lot of persons got banned for very picky reasons, no wonder the traffic goes down...

Steve was in fact banned from FChat. Someone had an axe to grind (a BS based one at that) and got him banned. Last he and I spoke he had retired from painting cars and was devoting himself to creating other kinds of art. Mine was the second to last car he fully painted.
