I have a 69 Mercedes 280sl that I am looking to have restored to a nice driver. The car is complete and rust free, interior is clean but it will need an engine rebuild as it has not been cranked over for about 15 years and probably some other mechanical work (brakes etc) It also needs a good paint job and fresh top. So I am looking for a restorer/ mechanic that could take on the project, give me an accurate estimate and maintain a timeline - ideally I would like an Austin based business but am willing to travel for some one that is trustworthy. Does anyone have suggestions/ recommendations (PLs PM if there places that I must avoid). I will probably have them do my Critroen SM at the same time.

If I wasn't so over "carred" and under timed I would probably manage the project myself, but I would probably be single by the end of the year :(
