Worldwide recession?? What recession are they talking about ???

For the small fray.. but top prices!
    1970 DeTomaso Mangusta $110,000
    1978 Lamborghini Silhouette $60,500
    1989 Ferrari 328 GTS $49,500
1973 Ferrari Dino 246GTS $176,000 (no idea this v6 model has moved that high!)

Seems to me auctions is the way to sell cars.

These are not top prices by a country mile IMO especially if you remember that the sellers received 10% less than these numbers. Nothing for them to write home about, believe me.

Its getting a bit better, but sellers are still letting these cars go for deals. I should know, we have recently bought some cars for clients at good deals.

    agree
they could let it go for that much...as good as it is now, with a salvage title is not an easy sell and many collectors will run away from it

this said that white car is pretty famous and featured in many books, magazines, etc..and the sil. looks really good in those colors

I agree, White is THE colour for the Silhouette and the black painting/sticker on the frontspoiler is an must, lifts the hole car IMO.

Don't forget the last sentence of the article.....
    "Prices include 10% buyer’s premium. "

Therefor sellers receive 10% less than the auction price.

Wonder if they charge 10% from seller AND 10% from the buyer?
