    "Two cars from an important Swiss collection"... According to barchetta.cc, the last two owners of #1011GT are Adrian Newey and Sebastian Vettel...Correct?

    I think it was sold by Vettel when he left Scuderia Ferrari, so probably to the Swiss collector ! It was displayed by FISKENS at the time at Retromobile if I remember well.

    Fiskens has the car listed in their Sold section. I recall the car making the rounds maybe 4-5 years ago - is that right?

    Edit - oh, Barchetta lists Vettel after Fiskens had it.

    Neither Newey nor Vettel owned 1011 GT ever.
    Vettel owned another LWB Cal Spider (with a higher S/N) and Newey an SWB Cal Spider.
    The information on that website is inaccurate.

    Also, 1011 GT is not owned by a Swiss collector. It is owned by a foreign citizen that owns a house in Switzerland.

    I recall it being rebodied into aluminum when restored during Jürgen Jaudzim’s ownership in the 1990s. And then getting re-rebodied back to steel in recent times.

    You may want to talk to the auction house.........they have a very very different opinion and unfortunately strictly believe what the red book states......on top of that, the people who did the work you mentioned, today strictly deny having ever done that............
    Some people are now trying to re-write history.
