My rev counter on 348 spider stopped working. Does anyone have a proceedure to fix this (ie: what should I do first etc)

Is it completely dead, or operating erratically? The signal for the tach comes from the Motronic ECU for the 5/8 bank, based on output from the TDC/rev sensor at the nose of the crankshaft. You could have a bad tach, a bad connection at the instrument cluster, a failure in the ECU, or a problem at the TDC sensor. If there are no other symptoms (hard start, bad idle, missing, etc.) then I would suspect something wrong at the tach itself, either an internal problem or a bad connection. It's certainly not uncommon to find problems at the TDC sensor, but ONLY a problem with the tach reading doesn't seem likely.

I just came back from a drive now and for a few minutes the speedometer also stopped working but all of a sudden both the rev counter and the speedometer stated working normally again. I don´t know if this is the beginning of an erratic behaviour (works for 10 minutes then stops working). I hope not... Thanks for your previous advise.

Ernie has posted before that the first thing to do would be to check, clean and tighten the connections behind the instrument binacle. Also, check, clean and secure all the grounds in there too.
