Any one have experience with the F8 rev limiter kicking in during a spirited drive? I am a bit surprised it kicks back as dramatically as it does, and the whole LED display flashes until I back off.

I’m used to the 458 which revs a bit higher, and doesn’t seem to be as intrusive.

The F8 really seems to back off and kill the power - I’m wondering if there’s something not quite right, or just operator error. Can anyone chime in?

That’s how the redline is. You’ll come up against it and it’s going to come up hard against it. Power will feel cut cause it’s holding at the redline, just need to up shift

Normally turbo cars cut the power quite abruptly

. Thanks, and yes I knew to shift, was a bit taken aback how quickly the engine revs to redline

Does the F8 not automatically upshift at the rev limit?

Turbo cars always leave me wanting another 1000rpm. Once they get in boost they slam through the RPMs.

Not in manual mode. Auto mode it will automatically upshift
